My Cars
I bought my first car in 2014, a 1998 NB MX5. The car cost me $3200 nzd and was subject to all the normal abuse that you would expect from a new driver. The chassis and engine had around 230,000ks and one of the leakiest roofs I have ever seen on a MX5. This was the car that really introduced me to the car community and allowed me to create a lot of great friendships. I drove the car for the next 5 years daily to college, university and also occasionally delivered pizza in it. When I had any spare money I would buy parts to mod what I didn't like about it from the wheels to the exhaust and back again. In 2017 I entered the car into the 4 and Rotary show (no idea why anyone let me do this) with one of the worst wrap jobs completed the 3 nights prior. I still own the car today but it sits fairly dormant outside my house waiting for me to build up enough energy to do something with it.
In 2017 was the year that I purchased my first S-Chassis. I had been searching for a few months for a car to import from Japan but was mostly looking into 1jz chasser and skylines. I made friends with one of the employees at import company "BeForward" who informed me of a 180SX that would be coming online, the car was low Ks and in really great condition. I later purchased the car for a awesome price just before the 180SX Kouki models value started to rise. The car was a 1996 Nissan 180SX with 92,000ks, it took just over 4 months to arrive (not normal but was during the stink bug epidemic on the container ships) and was absolutely mint once it arrived. As far as I can see from the documentation it is a one owner car in Japan and was barely driven.
